Alana is a half Kubiteron demon, half witch who witnesses a Matusa demon murder his summoners. He sees her in her astral form watching him and she’s next on his list of victims.
Hunter is half human, half Matusa demon, fighting to keep the evil ones out of the human world. When he’s poisoned, he sees the vision of a girl watching him, only she’s not really all demon and not really all there. She offers to save his life, if he offers to protect her from one of his kind. But no lesser demon dictates terms to a Matusa.
Jared is a full Elantus demon, raised by humans, who’s searching for his real parents. When Hunter saves his life, he vows his loyalty to him and designs a tracker device to locate demons entering the human world.
When Alana beats on Hunter’s chest to get his heart beating again after he dies, twice, he knows the half demon is hot for him.
Often at odds, the three teens work together to stop the plans of a group of Matusa to take over the human race before it’s too late.
Alana Fainot is a demon gate guardian, stuck in her last boring year of school. But not for long. Hunter and the rest of the gang show up when her astral form can’t return to her physical form, and she’s at the police station trying to talk her way out of having seen the murderer of a summoner. Hunter always knew Alana was trouble, but his kind of trouble, and he’s not leaving Alana alone again.
Celeste Sweetwater, a new kind of demon, joins Hunter and Alana and the rest of the demon guardians in a fight to find a new kind of portal device that can summon several demons at once. But not only that, another Matusa has been unleashed on the unsuspecting human world and the demon guardians must stop him before he wreaks much more havoc.
But this time, the police are involved, paranormal investigators pounce on the area, and the whole mess seems to be spiraling out of the demon guardians’ control.
Emily Rundle’s curious nature causes her big problems when she moves with her family to Florida. First of all, she’s different. Really different. Then the nightmares begin. The kind she can’t escape. Somehow she has to unravel the mystery of the ghosts who plague her before it’s too late.
Michael Shipley just moved to town, too, and realizes at once Emily is trouble with a big T. If he becomes involved with her, his life will change forever. Premonitions he has that Emily’s life will be in danger forces him to make a stand to protect the girl who’s gifted with extraordinary abilities like him. They instantly bond as the two weirdest kids in school.
Both Michael and Emily have past histories, painful memories they’d rather forget. Faced with dangerous new challenges, they must overcome their past, threats at school, bullies in the flesh, and ghostly apparitions bent on a deadly game of revenge. What was once a simple matter, discover the secrets of the ghosts and appease them, becomes a race against time as Emily and Michael fight the evil that threatens to conquer them.
A blue, blue dragonfly. It was munching on aphids on a crepe myrtle last year. I love them because they eat the varmints that eat my plants.
In A SEAL Wolf for Sale, one of the characters has an animal guide that is the dragonfly. Lots of fun.
I took this picture of another yesterday when I was out watering. They love the water and when I’m watering plants, I will often have them coming to greet me and I wish I could have someone else hold the hose so I can take pictures of them. Well here is one that I kept trying to get closer to, and it kept flying off, then settling again, and then as if it knew I didn’t mean to hurt it, he came over closer to me and landed so I could get a really cool shot.
A giant sunflowers stretching up to the blue Texas sky, towering over the cornfields even. 🙂 Love them! I found them!
I wrote 6,500 words yesterday on Her Highland Hero. Only 8500 words until I have my word count. Though it will likely go longer. So I’m trying to finish it up and then I can really edit it. 🙂
Happy TGIF! 🙂
Giving new meaning to the term alpha male where fantasy is reality.”
Cougar’s Mate is the first book in the Heart of the Cougar Series, and I plan to write Call of the Cougar by Christmas.
Cougar’s Mate: Instinct told her to run…
Shannon Rafferty learns that hanging out with the bad boys could be a dangerous business, but hooking up with a cop is even worse. Now she’s on the run, trying to avoid being murdered by his cougar shifter brothers and uncle. If that isn’t bad enough, a deputy sheriff hunts her down while she’s running as a cougar and trying to survive in the Colorado wilderness. He vows to protect her no matter what she’s done. With three dead boyfriends to her name, she’s sure she will be the death of Chase Buchanan before either of them can prevent it. No matter how much she knows she has to run again, he soon holds her heart hostage. But will that be enough to keep them both alive?
Chase Buchanan—as wilderness cabin resort owner, former US Army Special Forces, and part time deputy of the small town of Yuma, Colorado that boasts a love of cougars—is tasked to track down a cougar reported to be hunting human prey. Chase soon learns she’s a shifter, not a full-time cougar, and she’s on the run. When he takes her in, he vows to protect her. After losing his wife and baby to the human kind of predator years earlier, he’s not letting Shannon’s hunters kill her, too. But how is he going to hold onto the wild-cat woman, who is unpredictable at every turn, without losing his heart to her, and then losing her as well?
Anora, the shepherdess, finds a half-naked man in her bed, so what’s a woman living alone in a cottage in the Lowlands of Scotland supposed to do? Prod him with her pitchfork to chase him off! Only the man is not just a traveler seeking her bed for a rest-but a wounded Highlander, who fights back, swinging his sword! Niall MacNeill is searching for a Frenchwoman of nobility to escort to his cousin’s castle for safekeeping, when he and his friend, Gunnolf, are attacked by another Highland clan, seeking the same woman. The other Highlanders wish to sell her to the highest bidder-English or French-it does not matter. Niall takes refuge in a sheepherder’s cottage to heal up from his wounds and discovers the shepherdess taking care of him may very well be the woman he seeks. He has no intention of doing anything but what his cousin requests of him-ensure her safety on their way to Craigly Castle-but when the lass so bravely wields her pitchfork at him, he is thinking of other, more interesting possibilities.
